	In my opinion there is no better place to call home then South Boston. Whether you enjoy long walks on Castle Island, a stroll down Broadway, sitting on the beach or just the overall convenience, its why we call it home.</p>
<p>
	It&rsquo;s hard to believe that 2011 has come to an end! Whether we are ready for 2012 or not, it is here and it now becomes time to review last year and remember the good, bad and ugly! I am happy to report that the South Boston Real Estate Market was not &lsquo;ugly&rsquo;! In 2011 we saw 465 condos sell with an average sale price of $382,283 which was 96.56% of the seller&rsquo;s asking price of $395,886. The homes that sold in 2011 spent on average 102.28 days on the market.</p>

	This was a 4.18% sales price increase compared from 2010 for South Boston owners. This is an outstanding figure considering this does not even include factoring in the&nbsp; tax write offs that homeownership provides which would greatly enhance the return. Consider the Real Estate return compared to the stock market return which from my calculations the S&amp;P was down .04%, the NASDAQ was down 1.8% while the Dow Jones was up 5.53%.&nbsp;</p>
